Panos, "Toss" as known by most, was born in Athens, Greece in
February 14th 1964. His family came to San Diego Ca. in 1966, to pursue
a better life. Toss started playing drums at age 7. Occasionally his uncle
would accompany him on guitar, to Eric Burdon and the Animal's songs. Since
Greek music was always heard in the house, naturally his first gig was at
a greek nightclub at age 10 playing Greek folk music. This would become
an influence for the rest of his life. Toss played in funk, rock, country,
and progressive rock gigs around San Diego County. At age 19 he studied
formally at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. Upon graduation he was offered
a part time teaching gig that has spanned from1987 to present time. During
this time, he started doing jingles, movies, and session work. He has played
and or recorded with Toy Matinee with Kevin Gilbert and Sheryl Crow, Faith
Hill, Brandon Fields, Jude Cole, Dweezil Zappa, Mike Keneally, John Goodsall,
Steve Vai, Paul Rodgers, Mark Hart, Peter Himmelman, Andy Summers, Sting,
Mike Landau trio, Robben Ford band, Cliff Richard, Vonda Sheppard, Boozo
Chavis, Hazy Jane, Mel Torme, Stephen Stills, and Eric Burdon among others.
TV House drummer duties have included late night talk show host Dennis Miller,
and also the Roseanne show. Appearances on film include: The Karen Carpenter
story, Angel 4 undercover, and Walt Disney's Country Bears. He has also
opened a home studio called Tossomos. Stay tuned for up and coming new projects.
